Defining Justice (Threats of Sky and Sea #0.6)Defining Justice by Jennifer Ellision
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One of Prince Caden’s earliest explanations of justice came from his father. But with an Earth Elemental's life on the line, Caden learns to define it for himself.

A short Threats of Sky and Sea prequel; originally appeared in Inaccurate Realities, Issue #3: Magic

"Justice is defined by those who hold the power."

This is the King's opinion but what does Caden himself believe? The answer gives us a wonderful insight into his character. I loved seeing things from his perspective and the glimpse of his life-long relationship with Aleta. I knew he was nothing at all like his father but after reading this, one of the things I'm looking forward to most in the series is Caden taking his throne. Is he book boyfriend material? Oh, yes!

If you haven't read Threats of Sky and Sea, you won't be able to appreciate Defining Justice so don't start here. If you have, your anticipation of Riot later this month is about to go up a new notches.
